Tour Plan

Depart Marrakech in the morning and drive to the mountain village of Imlil (1,750 m). Meet your certified guide and mule team before beginning the trek along the Aït Mizane Valley, passing through the terraced fields and orchards of Aremd village.

Continue toward the revered shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, where pilgrims gather beside the river. After lunch, climb steadily on zigzag trails toward the Toubkal Refuge (3,207 m), dramatically located beneath the surrounding peaks.

Walking time: 6–7 hours
Overnight: Toubkal Refuge or mountain hut

Wake early for a pre-dawn start and begin the ascent around 5:00 a.m., climbing steadily over rocky slopes toward the summit ridge. Reach the top of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m) after approximately 3–4 hours and celebrate with incredible sunrise views over the Atlas Mountains and distant Sahara plains.

Descend carefully back to the refuge for lunch and spend the afternoon resting, exploring nearby valleys, or enjoying hot drinks while soaking up the mountain atmosphere.

After breakfast, begin the long but scenic descent down the valley, retracing your steps past Sidi Chamharouch and through fertile terraces to Aremd village. Enjoy lunch at a local guesthouse such as Dar Bab Toubkal before continuing on a gentle path back to Imlil.

Spend the evening relaxing after your summit success.
